for Creative Ljubljana
2022–2027

CLIENT

Tourism Ljubljana

Creative Ljubljana. An Attractive City FOR Living, FOR Working, FOR Visiting.
We are realizing a more creative Ljubljana at the intersections of tourism, culture, and creativity by 2027.

Creative Ljubljana 2027

Is Ljubljana the European capital with the most creativity per square meter? It can be. For Tourism Ljubljana, we led the strategic process for a new development period of cultural tourism and events from 2022 to 2027.

Ljubljana exceeds comparable European cities in the quality and diversity of its cultural offerings. It has already established itself on the international tourism market as a green, safe, smart, and open tourist destination. Now is the time to build the city's global reputation as a hub of culture and creativity by connecting the cultural, creative, and tourism sectors, a goal we are paving the way for with our strategy.

Culture defines the way of life and every visit to Ljubljana. All of Ljubljana's main attractions, the urban masterpieces of architect Jože Plečnik, and cultural institutions are within walking distance.

  • The creative power in the cultural and creative sectors,

  • the excellence of cultural and artistic programs,

  • festival production with internationally recognized achievements,

  • Plečnik's urban and architectural designs for the city,

  • spatial convenience,

  • a connected cultural and creative community...

These are the foundations for Ljubljana to become a global city of culture and a leading creative urban destination, as outlined in the Strategy for Cultural Development in the City of Ljubljana 2020–2023 with guidelines until 2027, and the Strategy for the Development of the Tourist Destination of Ljubljana and the Ljubljana Region 2021–2027.

In this new strategic period, we have committed tourism and cultural partners to joint actions and projects that will contribute to a better experience of the city for both residents and visitors, as well as international professionals in the sectors of culture, creativity, and tourism.
